Educational Qualification for becoming CID Officer: -
- To become CID officer, the candidate must first be an Indian citizen.
- Candidates must pass the 12th class.
- If a candidate wants to go to a high post, then the candidate must have graduation in any stream from any recognized university.
For CID exam, both men and women can apply.
Age limit for becoming CID Officer: -
- Candidates of General Category should be between 20 to 27 years.
- Candidates of SC / ST category should be between 20 to 32 years.
Candidates in OBC category should be between 20 and 30 years.
How many times can the candidate try to become a CID officer?
- General category candidates can try 4 times.
- OBC category candidates can try 7 times.
- There is no limit to trying for SC / ST category candidates.
Selection Process for CID Officers -
To become CID officer, we have to undergo a lot of exams, as the detective means the person who is a detective, spy. So there are almost unanswered questions which are not answered today.
The selection of candidates is done on the basis of Written Examination and Personal Interview and Physical Effective Test; Firstly, the candidates will have a written test, after which the physical test of the candidates and when the candidates will pass both of these examinations after then interviews to the candidates will be called.

Exam pattern for CID Officer Examination: -
CID Examination is done every year by UPSC and SSC, CID Examination Question Paper divides into two parts. The question paper comes in part 1 of 200 marks and gives the time of 2 hours to solve the question paper. Part 2 comes with a question paper of 400 marks, for which you are given a full 4 hour time. And then there is an interview of 100 marks.

CID officer's salaries are between 24 thousand and 40 thousand.
